Vive Le Francais!

Our annual day to celebrate all things French was great fun.

This week the whole school took part in a French Day where we celebrated not just the French language, but also the cultures and traditions of our French neighbours. Children were invited to come to school in French colours making a colourful display of stripy tops, berets and a number of curly moustaches! The day started with a French assembly that included a fantastic mime show, a French Karaoke performance from some of the teachers, a dance by the 5s and finally a French lesson delivered by the 4s to their teachers. Throughout the day the children took part in many French speaking lessons including playing ‘Petanque’ in the sunshine. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for your joyful participation. Au revoir et à bientôt. The French department.

The children took over assembly singing in French and dancing along! It was great fun!
