Science Week

Our children enjoyed the hands on experiences in a fantastic week exploring science

It was Science Week for the 3s. The children loved the 'hands-on' learning experience. The children were shown the importance of field work from experts at the Ashdown Forest who taught them about the local environment, land and animal management. We looked at the identification of plants and invertebrates found in a variety of local habitats, including the school pond. Next the children headed to Drusillas to meet their zoologists. The children interacted with the animals and Hunter got to experience how camels are equipped to cope with their environment. The children produced a booklet of written work, graphs, photographs and diagrams that will be assessed as part of their science curriculum. An action packed week that was fantastic fun.
